Abraham married Pesse Halperin at Mohilev Podol, a Jewish settlement in Russia. Abraham and his bride would live long lives together and celebrate 62 years of marriage. They raised their eight children at Mohilev Podol, where Abraham was a well respected pharmacist. Seven of their children emigrated to America.
In the early 1920's, after 58 years of marriage, the Communist Bolsheviks seized all of their property. Their son Nathan of Chicago sent his son Harold overseas to rescue the aged couple and bring them to America. They wintered in California with their daughter, Minnie.
Abraham lived a long, active, healthy life passing at age 93 years on 27 Jan 1926 in Los Angeles County, California.
