BAILEY, BEN FRANKLIN JR
Ypsilanti, MI Age 85, passed away Monday, September 10, 2012. He was born January 21, 1927 in Wheelwright, KY, the son of Ben Franklin Sr. and Bertha (Towler) Bailey. On April 30, 1949, he married Adrienne Pepin and following 61 wonderful years of marriage, she preceded him in death June 24, 2010. Ben worked at Eastern Michigan University for nearly thirty years. Survivors include: two sons, Dennis (Sharon) Bailey and Tim (Kathy) Bailey; one daughter, Suzanne (Tom) Moore; nine grandchildren, Scott, Brian, April, Allison, Meredith, Colleen, Justin, Nick and Jake; fourteen great grandchildren, Baily, Eric, Natialie, Hannah, Tyler, Logan, Ryan, Tori, Haileigh, Aidan, Natalie, Emma, Madison and Genevieve; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Vern, Ivan, Hollis and John and one sister, Sola Jean. The funeral mass will be 10:30 am Friday, September 14, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 9425 Whittaker Road, Ypsilanti with Rev. Fr. Edmond Ertzbischoff as celebrant. Private burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery following cremation. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital . Envelopes are available at Stark Funeral Service where the family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-9 pm Thursday where the rosary will be prayed at 7 pm.
