Funeral services for Frank Vaughn Bell, age 81 of Centerville, are scheduled for 11 AM, Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Wayne Bell will officiate the service and interment will follow in the Beaver Dam Cemetery, northeast of Centerville in rural Leon County.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
Frank Vaughn Bell was born on November 9, 1930 in Flo, Texas to William Ernest & Lina (Johnson) Bell. Mr. Bell was a lifelong resident of Centerville. He worked as a rancher in the cattle business and was very knowledgeable about raising cattle. Mr. Bell also loved deer and squirrel hunting. He passed away early Monday morning, July 2, 2012 at his home. Mr. Bell is preceded in death by both of his parents and brothers, Wendell, Roy and Cecil Bell.
Surviving family includes son, Charlie Lummus & wife, Carolyn of Centerville; brothers, Weldon Bell of Dallas and Jerry Bell of Leona; sisters, Mamie Brown & Mary Jo Leathers of Centerville and Eva of New Caney, Texas; grandchildren, Bonnie Shirley & husband, Daniel of Centerville and Carl Lummus & wife, Keri of Centerville and great grandchildren, Courtney, Christopher, Cameron & Bailee Shirley, Autumn Lumpkin and Garrett Lummus.
Pallbearers will be Carl Lummus, Jerry Bell, Dwayne Bell, Jamie Bell, Ernest Bell, Randy Langley & Cecil Bell, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be James O. Hill, John T. Gresham and Johnny Bell.
