George W. DeLong died at his home in Lenhartsville on Thursday night, aged 74 years, 6 months and 12 days. Mr. DeLong who was a farmer but for the past twenty-two years was caretaker of the Sterner bungalow in Lenhartsville, was the son of the late George [Nicholas - Believed his father's middle name may have been George, thus such reference] and Amanda, nee Dorward, DeLong. He is survived by his wife, Annie, nee Adams, and five daughters, Lizzie, wife of Thomas Fitzsimmons, Bethlehem; Katie, wife of Harvey Kindt, Red Hill; Bertha, wife of Charles Ehrie, Kutztown; Elda, wife of Frank Wagaman, Lenhartsville; Dora, wife of Clyde Reimert, Lenhartsville. A brother, Irwin DeLong, Topton; two sisters, Lizzie, wife of Edward Achenbach, Reading; Carrie, Harrisburg, and six grandchildren, also survive. He was a member of Friedens Reformed church, Lenhartsville, and a charter member of Camp 531, P.O.S. of A., of the same place. The funeral will be held on Monday at 1.30 p.m. from the home with services in Friedens church and interment in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Charles W. Buffington will officiate.
