Mrs. Mable Pugh Barron, 74, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Sturgis Cemetery in Sturgis, Mississippi, with Rev. Charles Rook officiating.

Born on March 10, 1938, Mrs. Barron was a member of Sturgis Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.

Mrs. Barron is survived by three daughters: Judy Smith and husband, James, of Columbus, Mississippi; June Barron of League City, Texas; and Lou Barron of Maine; as well as one son, Dr. Jimmy Barron of Raymond, Mississippi. She is also survived by three brothers: Walter Ed Pugh and wife, Shelia; W. O. "Bully" Pugh; and James Rives Pugh and wife, Carol, all of Louisville, Mississippi. Mrs. Barron has nine grandchildren: Alana Meadows, Jerod Smith, Mary Tabor Barron, Benjamin Mack Barron, Kayla Robison, Patrick Smith, Bianca Jaramillo, Dax Jaramillo, and Austin Jaramillo and three great-grandchildren: Brennan Gable, Bryson Gable and Kali Meadows. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mack W. "Buddy" Barron; her daughter, Dorothy Jane Barron; her parents, Jolly Howard and Thelma Estell Rives Pugh; and three brothers, Jolly Howard Pugh, John Thomas Pugh, and Gerald "G. R" Pugh.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Pugh, Dr. Jimmy Barron, James Smith, Jason Pugh, Andy Childress and Robby Childress. Memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., P. O.
