Laura died of cancer Tuesday at her Lewiston home. She was 82.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1912, in Concordia, Kan., to James S. Ellis and Myra (Spratlen) Ellis.
She attended school in Kansas and was baptized at the First Christian Church there.
She married Charles E. (Chick) Rydvall Sr. at Belleville, Kan., on Feb. 24, 1935. After their marriage, they lived in Kansas until 1940, when they moved to Lewiston. Her husband died on June 2, 1980.
Laura May Rydvall was preceded in death by two brothers, James H. Ellis and Leland Ellis.
She cared for many children during her life and kept in touch with them throughout the years. In later years she enjoyed going out to eat with her family and friends.
