Etta Louise Willis Jordan, 81, of Madison Heights, Va., formerly of Atlantic, passed into the Father's loving arms Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Fairmont Crossing in Amherst, Va., after a third battle with cancer.
She was the wife of the late Richard Lewis Jordan.

Born Jan. 3, 1931, in Atlantic, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Grady and Prudie Mason Willis and was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Carroll and Jan Willis; mother-in-law, Thelma Jordan; sister-in-law, Ida Jordan; nephews, Eddie Willis and Billy Jordan; and niece, Christy Willis. Mrs. Jordan was educated in the Atlantic schools, attended nursing school in Wilmington and graduated from business school in Raleigh. She retired from the Central Virginia Training Center after 30 years of service, was a member of Madison Heights Christian Church and was a woman of strong faith.

Mrs. Jordan is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Woodrow "West VA" Bennett and her "granddog," Little Bit; a nephew and wife, Anthony and JoAnne Willis of Beaufort; brother-in-law, Robert Jordan of Old Hickory, Tenn.; longtime friends, Frankie Guthrie of Harkers Island, Sue Pechmann and Kathy Collins; and other nieces, nephews and friends.
