Henry J. Bassuener, 80, an aged citizen of the town of Sheboygan Falls, passed away at his home there Sunday afternoon after but a brief illness. He was born in Germany, January 8, 1838 and came to America about forty-five years ago. For some time he conducted a blacksmith shop and later bought a farm in the town of Sheboygan Falls where he had since made his home. He was unmarried.
The survivors are a brother, Andrew C. Bassuener, Sheboygan Falls; and the following sisters, Mrs. Sophia Rautmann, town Sheboygan Falls; Mrs. Dorothy Armbruster, Sheboygan Falls; and Mrs. Christina Ulrich, Portland, Oregon. The funeral was held this afternoon form the late home, the Rev. Mr. Briesen, officiating. Interment was made in the Johnsonville cemetery.
