FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. RAUTMANN AT SHEBOYGAN FALLS

Funeral services for Mrs. Sophia Rautmann, nee Bassuener, aged 88, who died Tuesday evening of pneumonia after an illness of four days, were held Friday at 1 p.m. from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida Kuhlow, Sheboygan Falls, and at 1:30 p.m. at the Saxon [sic-Saron] Reformed church, the Rev. H, T. Vriesen officiating. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.

The pallbearers were Edgar and Harry Blanke, Fred, William, Henry and Otto Kuhlow, all grandchildren of the deceased.

Mrs. Rautmann was born in Dinglestedt [sic-Dingelstedt], Germany, May 21, 1840. She came to this country with her parents in 1856. On October 31, 1892, she was united in marriage to Julius Rautmann, who preceded her in death 41 years ago. Five children also preceded her in death. The survivors are one son and four daughters - Julius Rautmann, Mrs. Ida Kuhlow and Mrs. Sophia Blanke of Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. Emma Schreiber of Plymouth and Mrs. Minnie Damrow of Fond du Lac. Twenty grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Christine Alrich of Boring, Oregon, also survive.
