Survived by daughters, Helen Allison McSwain (1922–2013), Mildred Allison Hope, and Betty Allison Gregory; sister, Essie Petty Baldwin (1907–1997); three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Predeceased also by a sister, Maud Petty Phillips (1894–1967); brothers, Clyde Lee Petty (1901–1976), Thomas G Petty (1904-1976), and Carl Petty (1910–1978).
Funeral services were held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 9, 1981, at Brown-Bolton-Jolly Mortuary; burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family received friends from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, Thursday, January 8, 1981, at the mortuary.
