Brooklyn Heights, NY: Suzanne Louise Hart, was killed an an elevator accident on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, in New York, New York.

Suzanne was born on August 25, 1970 in Columbus, Ohio. She grew up in Central Ohio, Barrington, Illinois, and Palos Verdes Estates, California. Suzanne graduated from Palos Verdes High School and earned a degree in Fine Art and in International Relations from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. She was an advertising executive with Young& Rubicam, NYC. Suzanne began her career as a printmaker in SoHo and entered the advertising business as a graphic artist. She proved to be a quick study anf found that she had a strong affinity for leading teams, and developing ad concepts and campaigns. She was a natural connector of people, both personally and professoinally,and she derived great satisfaction from bring together people from very different disciplines and backgrounds to creat something that none of them could have created on their own. She was a tireless anddedicated worker, and she maintained her cheerful disposition, optimistic outlook, and playful sense of humor in even the most stressful of times.

Suzanne was equally energetic outside of the office. She was particularly interested in landscape architecture and design, and recently completed a two-year landscape design program through the New York Botanical Garden in her spare time. She was especially proud of the work she did in the backyard of the Brooklyn Heights home she shared with Christian Dickson, an associate with Robert A.M. Stern Architects, NYC.

In addition to Chris, the love of her life; Suzanne leaves behind a large and loving family; her father, Alex W. "Pete" Hart and step-mother, Mary Templeton Hart of Naples, Florida; brother, Alex Paul (Desiree) Hart, and their children, Alex W. and Lauren Hart of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Michael Howard (Patti) Hart and their children, Hannah, Emma, and Michael Gregory Hart,of Chappaqua, New York; and brother, Gregory Edward (Tara Cadinelli) Hart, of Portland, Oregon; step-sister, Kiersten Wolf (Andrew) Petrucca, and their son, Collin Petrucca of Alexandria, Virginia; aunts, Anne Hart (Myles) Kiphen, Lancaster, Ohio, Georgia Gallagher Hart, Pickerington, Ohio,Miriam (Lester Marks) Hart,Athens, Ohio; uncles, Edward Ann) Hart, Yorba Linda California, John (Patricia) Edwards,Somerset, Ohio, and Joseph (Michelle) Edwards, Lancaster; and many devoted cousins and their families.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her mother, Fyanne (Edwards) Hart (in 1992); her grandparents, Rosemary and Alex W. Hart and Leota and Howard Edwards; and by a cousin, Chad Edwards.

Suzanne was a ray of sunshine wherever she went and though she has left us in body, her spirit will live on through the many people she loved her so deeply.

A memorial service was held on Monday, December 19, 2011,at 300 Madison Avenue, NYC. A family memorial celebration was held in Lancaster, Ohio, on Saturday, January 21, 2012, and Suzanne's ashes were interred, by her family, beside those of her beloved mother,in Forest Rose Cemetery,Lancaster, Ohio, on January 23, 2012.
