Marjorie Jane "Marjane" Cooper Newton, 91, of Austin and formerly of Milam County, died Saturday, January 14, 2012, at her home. Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012, at the Little River Cemetery near Maysfield.
Marjane was born in Maysfield, Texas, to the late Jess and Willard Cooper. She married Frank Mondrik Newton in 1945.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Newton; and brother, Carl Cooper.
Survivors include her son, Mac Newton, of Harlingen; daughter, Nina Newton Pace, of Austin; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
