Mrs. Abbott was born in Darlington County, daughter of the late Arthur Rogers and Inez Jeffords Rogers. She was married for 54 years to the late William Wallace Abbott, Sr. She had retired from Citizens and Southern Bank after 35 years and was a member of Darlington Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Abbott was attending Central United Methodist Church in Florence after her move to Methodist Manor.
Surviving are her two sons and daughters-in- law: Bill and Carolyn Abbott , Steve and Debra Abbott, all of Darlington; grandchildren: Krista (Garrett) Byrd, Katherine Abbott and Crystal Abbott; great grandchildren: William and Reavis Byrd, Brandon Abbott, Hope and Kelly.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
