Graveside services will be held Saturday morning for Mrs. Howard Burress, 48, (Eleanor McCraney) who died suddenly in Albuquerque Tuesday. The body will lie in state this Friday evening at Sharp and Doney Chapel. Services were held at Albuquerque Friday morning.
Mrs. Burress had undergone major surgery last week and was preparing to return home when stricken. She was born in Del Norte January 10, 1920, the daughter of Earl McCraney and Alma McCraney Wright, grew up here and was graduated from the Del Norte Schools. She and Howard Burress were married at Aztec in December, 1939. They operated the mortuary here ten years, another at Walsenburg for ten years and have been at Albuquerque almost ten years.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Bonnie Hubert and Barbara Straub; two sons, Bill and Brian, all of Albuquerque; her mother, Mrs. Alma Wright; and sister, Mrs. John F. Kernen, Del Norte; brother Bob of Newberry, Michigan; and three grandchildren.
Rev. Lee Corey will officiate at the cemetery services here and pallbearers will be Dr. C.W. Vickers, James Broderick, Howard Hoffman, Paul Sittler, B.B. Black, and Forrest Robran.
