Statesoro, Ga. - Mrs. Mildred Edenfield Minchey, age 92, died Wednesday at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. She was a longtime resident of Bulloch County and a member of the Statesboro First Baptist Church. Mrs. Minchey enjoyed sewing, crocheting, planting flowers, fishing and crabbing. She was preceded in death by her husband, M.J. Minchey Sr.; her infant son, Gary Minchey; and a son, Sonny Minchey.
Survivors include one son, Tim (Sandra) Minchey of Hampton, S.C.; two daughters, Tonua Mock of St. Marys, Ga., and Connie Fagler of Statesboro; one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Minchey of Hinesville; two sisters, Sara Freeman of Sylvania and Faye Hosti of Tybee Island, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Dr. John Waters officiating. Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
