Second son of Dr Millard C Wright and Nellie S Harter, paternal grandparents William F Wright and Almira E Cornwell and maternal grandparents John A Harter and Mary P"Nellie" Puckett.

He grew up on 40th Street in Kansas City, Missouri, attended Westport High School and was graduated in 1932.

He and Elizabeth Rose McMahon were married in Ft Scott Kansas Dec 26 1937 and she was the love of his life for 59 years at time of his death.

He answered the call of his country in 1944, enlisting in US Navy and was assigned to USS Fabius Jun 1945. The ship participated in battle for Okinawa Japan.He spent the next thirteen years in the active Naval Reserve and the following 14 years in the standby Naval Reserve retiring a Chief Petty Officer. From 1959 till his retirement, he worked for Sun Electric Corp, in Chicago Illinois and secured three patents for the company.

He was known as Bill by his friends and called Dad, Father, and Gramps by his family. We miss him and his guidance.
