Carol Jean Godfrey, 69, passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2011.
Mrs. Godfrey was born in Union County, N.C., May 28, 1942, the daughter of the late Lonnie B and Margaret Elma Hargett. She was a graduate of Indian Trail High School.
Mrs. Godfrey is survived by her husband John O. Godfrey.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at 3 p.m., at Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church, 3703 Mary Elizabeth Church Road, Waxhaw, NC 28173. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held at Gordon Funeral Service 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC, 28112, Tuesday Sept. 6, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
