Oscar E. Bodden, 84, of 318 Wisconsin St., Theresa, died Friday, Jan. 17, 1997 at his home.

He was born on Dec. 9, 1912, in Theresa, a son of Hubert and Anna Buhr Bodden. On Feb. 8, 1939, he married Dorothy Zedler at Theresa. Mr. Bodden farmed in the Theresa area.

He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church I Theresa and was an active member of Mayville Senior Citizens.

Survivors include two daughters, Jan Schmidt and her husband Ken of Watertown, and Grace Lohse and her husband Ron of Menasha; one son, Gary of Waunakee; one brother, John Bodden of Theresa; one sister, Clara Schaefer of Juneau; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his son, five sisters and two brothers.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa. The Rev. Charles Verhalen will officiate. Burial will be at the parish cemetery.

Visitation: From 4 to 7 p.m. today at Koepsell funeral Home in Mayville, and from 9:30 a.m. to the time of services Monday at the church.

Memorials in his name may be made to St Agnes Hospice Hope or St. Theresa School Endowment Fund.
