Mother, Daughter Found Murdered

MYFOXNY.COM - Police investigating a missing persons report in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn found a woman and her adult daughter stabbed to death in their apartment building.
Police say the bodies of Tatyana Prikhodko, 57, and her daughter, 28-year-old Larisa Prikhodko, were discovered shortly before midnight on Sunday in the elder woman's apartment. The daughter and her young son lived in a different unit in the same building at 2299 East 13th Street.
Both worked as nurses at area hospitals. Larisa Prikhodko worked at Mt. Sinai. Her mother worked at Brookdale Hospital.
Police went to Larisa Prikodko's unit after the father of her son called to report she had not picked up the boy. Police left after not finding anything suspicious. They later broke into the other apartment and found the bodies.
Tatyana Prikhodko had her throat slashed. Larisa Prikhodko had been stabbed in the stomach.
Fox 5 News reports that the bodies were found in different areas of the apartment and knives were found near the victims. Investigators recovered a 12-inch serrated kitchen knife and a 10-inch straight blade.
The NYPD is looking for a person of interest in the case but would not elaborate, according to Fox 5 News. The New York Post reported that cops were looking to question the older woman's longtime boyfriend.
Police are now searching for Nikolai Rakossi, the boyfriend of Tatyana, who has lived in the apartment for about a decade, sources told the Post.
Local airports have been notified to be on the lookout for Rakossi, a 52-year-old day laborer, but investigators suspect he may have already fled to Russia.
