He was also one of the founding fathers of the Scuba Diving Clubs Founding the First club called The Sea Hellons. He was a grand man and I am Very Proud to have called him Grandfather. I still miss him and all the wisdom he has past on to me over my 47 years I had the honor of knowing him. My proudest boast is "John Turford was my Grandfather!"

My grandfather was great at one liners and little tidbits of wisdom one I'll always remember was

"Working hard for an ungrateful person or company is like bailing out the Titanic with a tea cup, your doing some good, but remember no matter how hard you try the ships still going down."

He also added "When your bailing out a row boat with a bucket and the water reaches your nose, its time to stop bailing and start swimming!"

Please note: on my Grandparents grave marker I added the following...Look For Us At www.Findagrave.Com I think its time for all of us "Gravers" to add this to our family and of course our own future stones. ^_^
Just an Idea. ^_^
