MRS. FERNE J. HAMMEL
Dead on arrival at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne was Mrs. Ferne J. Hammel, 64, wife of Audry H. Hammel, 923 Gragg Street at 2:20 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Hammel who had been in her usual health although suffering a chronic illness and heart ailment, was riding with her husband to Fort Wayne when she became seriously ill and was removed by ambulance to the hospital. Death was caused by a heart attack.
Mrs. Hammel was born November 29, 1898 at Mt. Etna to Ellis T. and Anna Jane Bowman Wiles. She married Mr. Hammel June 3, 1920.
Mrs. Hammel was a member of the Church of God.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Church of God. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery,
