THE DEATH OF EMELINE W DEHART
Mrs Emeline Williams DeHart, widow of Allen DeHart, died at 5:45 o’clock this morning at the home of her son, Lewis M DeHart, on State street. She was 88 years old, having been born in Ross county, Ohio, December 24, 1828. Most of her life was spent on a farm in Wea township. A number of years ago she moved to Lafayette. Her husband has been dead for many years. Mrs DeHart up to the time of her last illness was in good health and was remarkably active for one of her age. She possessed a sunny disposition and was held in high regard by all who
knew her. About a week ago she was taken ill with pneumonia and her condition soon afterward became critical. The funeral will be conducted form the home Thursday morning at 10 o’clock. ( Lafayette Daily courier, Tuesday, March 2, 1915)
