NACE

Marjorie Olgian Langford Baber Nace, the daughter of John Goral and Sarah Davis Langford, was born August 7, 1900 in Lucas County, Iowa, and passed away on Sunday, Nov. 22, 1992 at the Ramsey Home in Des Moines at the age of 92 years, three months and 15 days.

She was a longtime Lucas County and Chariton resident, moving to the Ramsey Home several years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Sewell Baber and husband Lonnie Nace; daughter, Mrs. Frances Sevedge; son Kenneth; and three sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include a daughter, Madlyne Chappell of Chariton; grandchildren Diane Baber of Vista, Calif., Rick Baber of Bellevue, Wash., Ron Chappell, of Arvada, Colo., Debra Johnson of Indianola, Russ Sevedge of Moline, Ill., and Gary Chappell of Boone; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Marian Keck of Chariton; three brothers, Lee Langford of Chariton, David Langford of Humeston and William Langford of Simi Valley, Calif.; along with many other relatives.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 10 a.m. at the Mosher Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Hambleton officiating. Bearers were Nickolas Johnson, Jaret Johnson, James Baber, Gary Chappell, Jon Weaver and Russ Sevedge. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
