Mary Louisa Weaver was born in March 1868 in Collin County, Texas to Robert Wesley Weaver and Permelia Mary George.

She married James Joseph Babb February 22, 1885 in Comanche County, Texas. They moved a lot all over the upper part of Texas and lower Oklahoma as James Joseph moved from job to job. They had eight children, Robert Wesley, James Thomas, Minnie Lee Ila, Ruth Agnes, Susie Ellen, Annie Ethel, William Rhodes, and Permelia Mary. James Thomas died as a young child and his burial is unknown.

Mary Louisa died in Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas about 1918. She is buried in an unmarked grave in Dobbs Valley Cemetery, Palo Pinto County, Texas.
