BAXTER – Oader E. "O.E." Boyd, a retired farmer who lived on Baxter Rt. 3, was declared dead upon arrival at Cookeville General Hospital yesterday (Sat., Feb. 23, 1985).
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Baxter Funeral Home, with burial in Crest lawn Memorial Cemetery, Cookeville. Conducting the services will be Bro. Joe Roysden.
Born April 4, 1905, Mr. Boyd was 79, native of Putnam County, son of the late Tom and Martelia (Campbell) Boyd.
His family includes his wife, Glener Scarlett Boyd, Baxter; a daughter, Kathleen Mahan, Cookeville; three sons, Elee of Dayton, OH, and Alton and James Boyd, both of Baxter; a sister, Maggie Crabtree, of Antioch, TN; five grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
