"Alfred F. Gamble was born in Montgomery County, Indiana, May 20th, 1857, and died November 17th, 1911, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Pearl Luman, age 54 years, 5 months and 27 days.

Death resulted from burns and pneumonia. He leaves five daughters and one son to mourn his loss, a father over 80 years old and two brothers, Will Gamble of Cheneyville, Ill., and another brother in California, who was unable to attend the funeral.

Malcolm Lee Cobb, his little grandson, was born June 9th, 1908, and died from the effects of burns and pneumonia, November 16, 1911, age 3 years, 5 months and 7 days.

The funerals were held at the home of the daughter in Winthrop, Sunday, at 1 o'clock, Rev. Ward officiating. Interment was made at Five Points." - Warren Review, Williamsport, Indiana, November 23, 1911 (Obituary provided by Russ Nixon)
