My GGGG-Grandmother

Jennie was the wife of Joseph Gordon Sr. who died in 1888. Her known children who survived her were James and Joseph Jr., Lucinda Mills and Julia Coulter. She was also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In a bio of one of her granddaughters that appeared in the 1913 book History of West Virginia and Its People, it is written that "She was a woman of extra intellect and a wonderful memory, knowing the names of her great-grandchildren of over a hundred in number, and called them all over, with the dates of their birth, only a few
days before her death."
