Mrs. E. Martin died at the family residence in Fairmont Sunday evening. The deceased was seventy-eight years of age and one of the oldest settlers of Fillmore County, coming from Wisconsin to this county among the first settlers. She had been in poor health for a number of months, a gradual decline caused by old age.
The funeral took place Tuesday from the Congregational Church, of which she was a member.
