Mrs. Allen was a member of Biltmore Methodist Church. She enjoyed life to the fullest; she loved being a grandmother and had a strong passion for fishing. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family and especially those she considered her family at Flesher's Health Care.
She is survived by four children, William Billy E. Allen III and wife, Vicky, of Asheville, Charles E. Allen and wife, Marcia, of Cartersville, Ga., Kathy Hitch of Fairview and Crystal Allen of Arden; five grandchildren, Duane Allen, Jennifer Hitch, Greg Hitch, Matthew Curtis Allen, Jason Allen; seven great-grandchildren, Haley Brigman, Haden and Madison Hitch, Grafton and Morgan Allen, Hunter and Bailey Allen; two sisters, Alyne Stevens of Indiana, Doris Wentz of Charlotte; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn, with the Rev. William Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the park.
