Lillian S. Bush, 82, died Friday, April 9, 2010 at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie. She was born on Sept. 24, 1927 in the St. Clair's community of Smyth County to the late James and Bertha Starling and was preceded in death by her husband, Logan "Junior" Bush, two sons, Steven Laine Bush and Allen Dale Bush, a daughter, Geva Ann O'Connor, a grandson, David Shane Blevins, her sisters, Sadie York, Ruby Musser, Edna Starling, Ruth Potter and Iva Bradley, and a brother, Ralph Starling. She and her husband were co-owners of Ervin's Market in Marion for many years. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Susan and Barney Cox of Independence, and Janie Bush Blevins of Chesapeake; sister, Barbara Hutton and husband, Ray, of Marion; grandchildren, Lori Judkins, Billy Blevins and John O'Connor; great-grandchildren, Chad Blevins, and Amber Judkins; and great-great grandchild, Layla Blevins; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 12, at Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with the Rev. George Russell officiating. Interment followed in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family received friends Monday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Independence Rescue Squad, Independence, VA 24348
