She was born January 29, 1901 in the town of Almon, the daughter of the late William and Anna (Wickman) Leiskau.
On October 14, 1922 Louise was united in marriage to Joseph Long in Menominee, Michigan. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1969.
Survivors include two brothers, Arthur (Gladys) Leiskau, Bowler and Walter Leiskau, Wittenberg; one sister, Amelia Treptow, Wittenberg; one special niece, Dorothy Hargette, Memphis, TN ; numerous foster children and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Louise was preceded in death by two sisters, Alma Thiex and Clara Dahl and one brother, Edward Leiskau.
Funeral services were held November 14, 1987 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Wittenberg. The Rev. Peter Gundersen officiated. Interment was in Forest Home Cemetery, Wittenberg.
