Suggested edit: I've recovered the original return of birth certificate provided to the City of St. Louis Health Dept. to confirm the birth of Clemence RENARD on 26 Oct 1910 at 1311 N Euclid Ave. St. Louis, MO. Her parents are identified as Albert RENARD born in the French West Indies and Melanie RENARD born in France. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding this family:
Clemence M. RENARD was born to parents Albert RENARD (1882-1967 or 1969) and Melanie PRAUAZ or PRAVAS or PRAVAZ (1886-1977). Clemence was one of 7 children born to this couple including Clemence M.; George J.; John Joseph "Jean"; Marguerite Mary; Henri or Henrie or Henry Eugene; Robert Joseph A.; and Therese "Tess" Marie Francois RENARD, all born between 1910 and 1926. Clemence married Frederick Joseph "Fred Joe" KUMMER (1907-1974) on 25 May 1940 in St. Louis, MO and they had two children. Clemence died 6 May 2004 in Zeeland, MI or St. Louis Co., MO and is buried in the Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
Her father Albert was born 4 Dec 1882 in Guadeloupe, French Guiana or Point A Pitre, French West Indies to parents Lucienne or Lucien H. Auguste Z. RENARD (1841-1908) and Marie Clemence DUPAVILLON or DUPAVILIAN or DUBAZILLION (1856-1928). Albert was one of 9 children born to this couple including Albert; Melanie A.; Adalaide; Clemence; Marie E.; Lucian Auguste; Eugene Charles; Henri "Harry" L.; and Joseph A. RENARD, all born between 1882 and 1897. Albert married Melanie about 1910 and he died on 27 May 1969 in St. Louis, MO.
