She was the wife of the late Alpheus Glasco Sr.
She was born on Sept. 26, 1913, in Columbia, S.C., and moved to West Chester at an early age.
Mrs. Glasco was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Baptist Church in West Chester. During her early years she sang with the choir. Her favorite song was "Amazing Grace." She loved being involved with her church and was considered a "Jewel in the church."
Elizabeth enjoyed shopping and was known for being seen walking around town.
She served as a cook for most of her life at various locations, including Quaker Baker, the Darlington Sanatorium (now known as Brandywine Hall), the Square Bar for more than 25 years and finally at The Hickman before retiring.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Lois E. Davis of Wilmington, Del.; seven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; and three cousins, Joseph Isaac, John Countee and Sarah Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and her son, Alpheus Glasco Jr.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Baptist Church, 1 Hagerty Blvd., West Chester, on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m.
A viewing will be held Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Interment will be in the Chestnut Grove Annex, West Chester.
