At the age of 89 beloved mother and grandmother, Catherine Miller of Valparaiso with her loving family by her side, went home to be with the Lord.
She was born on November 9, 1920 in Monroe MI to Christopher and Katherine (Marsh) Kurtz.
She was a graduate of Monroe High and worked as a secretary for AW White Lumber Co. for 35 years retiring in 2008. She was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of the Eagles and enjoyed Bingo and riding around the country looking for birds and deer.
On August 10, 1940 she married Gilbert Miller who preceded her in death in 1984. They have three daughters: Donna Martin of Brentwood CA, Diane Reif of Valparaiso, Linda Wienke of Valparaiso and one son, Michael Miller of Denver CO; twenty-one grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death not only by her husband, but daughters Judy Dibkey and Sharon Hartrunft.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church 365 W. 700 N. Valparaiso IN 46383. Visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 am. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family.
