Alvin Floyd Haack was born near Elk Creek, Nebraska, in Nemaha County. He was married on Dec 26, 1945 to Maxine C. Blinde at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Johnson, Nebr. She died of cancer in 1969. They had 3 children, Kenneth, Janice, and Barbara Haack.
He later married Gladys Arlene (Hurlbutt) Clarke.
He became paralyzed from the neck down after an accident in late 1983 when he fell from a tree. He lived for sometime with his granddaughter Kelly in OK. Then going back home to live, the last few months before he passed away he lived in Lincoln, Nebraska, in a nursing home.
He died at the age of 65 years and was buried on Nov. 30, 1988 at Johnson, Nebr. in St. Matthews Lutheran Cemetery.
