Marjorie was born in Hayesville, Iowa to Philo & Audrey (Ott) Morgan. She received her education from Keswick High School graduating on May 23, 1947. Marjorie married Melburn "Maul" Baethke on November 9, 1947 in What Cheer, Iowa.
Marjorie was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Centerville and a member of the Women's Auxiliary at the Mystic Legion. She enjoyed gardening, working at the farmers market, caring for animals, especially lambs and goats. She also enjoyed the Pre-School classes that visited their family farm, and time spent with her friends and family.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Melburn of Centerville, six children, Audrey Tudor, Michael Baethke, Arlys Halvorson, Sandra Vinzant, Max Baethke, Morgan Baethke, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a sister Madelon Hotchkiss, brother, Merlyn Morgan and four half-brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Benjamin Tudor.
