Funeral services for John Robert Caskey, 88, who died at his home in Castor, Friday, August 24, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Bienville Baptist church. Burial was in the Liberty Hill cemetery.

Officiating at the services was the Rev. Curtis Jones of Bienville and the Rev. J. H. Huckabee of Castor. Mr. Caskey was a lifelong resident of Bienville parish.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. John R. Caskey, Castor; nine sons, Leroy and Willie Caskey, Friendship, Dassie and Carl Caskey, Saline, Floyd Caskey, Shreveport, Ira Caskey Minden, John Caskey, Castor, Berdis Caskey, Bienville, and Lawson Caskey, Fort Bennings, Ga.; five daughters, Mrs. Annie Mae Loe, Bienville, Mrs. Laura Crawford and Mrs. Irene Myrick, Castor, Mrs. Lillian Hennigan, Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Lena Bailiff, of Springhill; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Matthews, Dodson, 68 grandchildren and 88 great-grandchildren.
