Harley ROGERS, 86, of the Hubbard Hills Estates in Elkhart, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Elkhart general hospital after an illness of two weeks. He was born July 31, 1891 in Akron to Walter and Cora GREGSON ROGERS. He moved to Rochester in 1971, then to Hubbard Hills Estates nine months ago. He was married Sept. 18, 1913 in Rochester to Hazel WHITTENBERGER, who died in 1971. He was a retired farmer and retired school teacher, having taught at Rochester college and Winona college. He was a member of Grace United Methodist church of Rochester and a 50-year member of the Akron Masonic lodge. Surviving are a son, Earl [ROGERS], Baltimore, Mc., and four grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded in death. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Sheetz funeral home in Akron with the Rev. Paul STEPHENSON officiating. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
