Mrs. Harley (Hazel) ROGERS, 80, R.R. 1, Akron, a resident of the National nursing home since November of 1971, died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn hospital. She had been ill for the past three years and had been a patient at the hospital for the last month. Mrs. Rogers, the daughter of George and Martha PERSONETT WHITTENBERGER, was born Feb. 26, 1892 in Akron. Her marriage was to Harley ROGERS on Sept. 18, 1913 at Rochester. He survives. Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Akron United Methodist church, Omega club, Akron Eastern Star and the WSCS. Surviving are a son, Earl [ROGERS], Baltimore, Md.; four grandchildren, and a cousin. Final rites will be at the Sheetz funeral home in Akron at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Revs. John MOORE and Claude FAWNS will officiate. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday.
