Children: Chauncey King Stafford, Gertrude Elberta Stafford Maynard, Herbert Watson Stafford, Clara Aline Stafford, Russell Munroe Stafford, and Emma Alice Stafford Gould Jepson.

Charlemont Feb. 8 - Mrs Mary Ellen (Starks) Stafford died early this morning in a nursing home in Shelburne Falls; widow of Elbert R Stafford; born in Hawley June 11, 1876 daughter of George K and Nettie (Hubbard) Starks; member Federated Church and Ladies Aid Society; former member of Pocahontas; lived in Charlemont 33 years; leaves two daughter Mrs Gertrude Maynard of Charlemont and Mrs Emma Jepson of Griswoldville, three sons Chauncey of Greenfield, Herbert of Northampton, and Russell of Charlemont, eight grandchildren and fourteen grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; funeral from Federated Church, burial Pudding Hollow, Smith funeral home in charge.
