MOTHER OF PROVOAN DIES IN SLC
Mary Ellen Evans Adams, 76, Salt Lake City, a Provo native and mother of a Provo man, died last week in a Salt Lake City hospital.
She was the mother of Jesse W. Evans and sister of Mrs. Rose Hope and Mrs. Annie Vincent, all of Provo.
Mrs. Adams was born in Provo March 2, 1891, a daughter of George and Emma Head Evans and married Leo Adams on Feb. 23, 1916 in Provo and they moved to Salt Lake City several years later. Her husband died July 4, 1964.
Survivors include sons and daughters, Steve Adams, Mrs. R. W. (Dorothy) Henderson, both of Salt Lake City; Ted Adams, Kearns,; Mrs. Glen (Donna) Eastman, Magna; Mrs. Lola Henderson, Fullerton, Calif.; Mrs. Ray (Ellen) Bluemel, Arcadia, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. in the Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Road, Salt Lake City. Friends may call this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday prior to time of services. Interment will be in the Redwood Memorial Estates.
