He was in 226th Signal Operation Company, TSMG Expert. According to his discharge papers he was stationed at Tunisia; Rome-Arno; Rhineland; Southern France; Central Europe and Africa. He was Honorably discharged August 30, 1945.

CLARK, MR. WALTER LARKIN - age 88, of the Victorian Square in Rockwood, TN, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2006.
Mr. Clark was a member and deacon of Mt. Teman Baptist Church and a member of the Painters Local Union #226. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in France & North Africa. He was retired from the Watts Bar plant in Spring City, where he worked as a painter for over 30 years.
Preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Mae Coffey Clark; baby sister Carlene Clark; sisters, Lela Watson, Mable Blake; brothers, Arnold and Carl Clark all of Oakdale.
Survivors include: wife: Elizabeth East Clark of Rockwood, TN; daughters: Evelyn Nelson & husband, Steve of Harriman, TN, Joetta Clark Boston & husband, Randy of Rockwood, TN; son: Charlie Clark & wife, Alice of Rockwood, TN; grandchildren: Angela Givens & husband, Wade, Brent Nelson & wife, Misty, Missy Mathis & husband, Chris, Chrisy Halliburton, Leslie Clark, Miranda Summers & husband, Adam, Bryan & Curt Boston, Jennifer Collins & husband, Chad; 12 great grandchildren; sisters: Myrtle Copeland & husband, Rev. Fred of Oakdale, TN, Eva Solomon & husband, Doc of Ringgold, GA; brother: Albert L. Clark & wife, Doris of Harriman, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mt. Teman Baptist Church Building Fund. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 12, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in the Mt. Teman Baptist Church with Bro. Shawn Durham & Bro. Chuck Wilburn officiating.
Graveside and interment will follow in the Mt. Teman Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. The body will lie-in-state from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the church.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 11, 2006 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood is in charge of arrangements.
