Services for Bernadette J. Garcia, 23, will be at 9 a.m. today at IC Church.
Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home of Las Vegas.
She died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002.
She was born July 11, 1979, in Las Vegas. She attended schools there and graduated from Robertson High School in 1997. She played volleyball, basketball and ran track. She was a member of the Robertson High School Show Choir. She received an associate's degree from Frank Phillips Junior College in Borger. She pursued an interest in sports before graduating from Texas Tech with a bachelor's degree in arts and sciences in May. She was currently a student at Highlands University working on a master's degree.
Survivors include her parents, Bernie and Teresita of Santa Fe, N.M.; and a sister, Terry Ann Garcia of Dallas.
