Mr. Allen was a native of Laurens County. He was a member of Buckhorn Methodist Church and operated a garage in Chester, GA.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lydia Rowland Allen of Chester; four sons, Harold Allen of Macon, Doyle Allen of McCrae, GA, Billy and Ronnie Allen, both of Chester; three daughters, Mrs. Charlie Johnson, Miss Debra Allen and Miss Connie Allen, all of Chester; three brothers, Marchel and J. T. Allen, both of Macon, and Alfred Allen of Chester; three half brothers, James Allen, Albert Allen and Joe Allen, all of Savannah, GA.
The body is at the Allen residence in Chester and will be there until time of service.
