Fatal Casualty -- Peter Cochrane, fireman in John Roe's Cotton factory at Patchogue, Suffolk County, was instantly killed on Monday, while in the act of oiling the cogs of the water wheel - the wheel making a sudden and unexpected revolution, occasioned by an accumulation of water by the drips from the pond gate, which severed his head from his body, between an arm of the wheel and a part of the mill.
