Valere Mildred Graham English 1933 ~ 2005 TOQUERVILLE - age 72, died July 21, 2005 at her home in Toquerville accompanied by family and friends.

She was born April 26, 1933 in Union, Utah, the first child in a family of three to Floyd Eugene Graham and Mildred Ione Nelson. After a four year courtship mainly by mail as he served in the U.S. Air Force, she married Lysle R. English on Feb. 27, 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized on May 11, 1953 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She graduated from Jordan High School in 1951 and never ceased to seek learning. She was always active in the LDS Church where she served in the Primary, Relief Society and Sunday School. She was an avid genealogist. As her family grew she became a Beautician and Barber and worked in many shops in different locations where they were assigned as an Air Force Family. She arranged her work to be home when the children left for school and back home before they came home. She loved to hear the door open and the words "Mom, I'm Home". She believed cleanliness was next to Godliness. She believed you should make the bed before you left your room even at motels when you traveled. She encountered many medical problems during her life but beat the Doctors predictions by 41 additional years.

She loved to travel and had her share of moving with her family around the world. The family was always her top priority. After pleading with her doctor for two years, he finally allowed her to serve a Nevada, Las Vegas LDS Mission (1997-98) with her husband. She influenced many for the good, helping bring 16 souls into the fold of Christ.

Preceded in death by her father Floyd, her mother Mildred, her step father Don Morris, and her twin brothers, Floyd and Lloyd Graham.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 25, 2005, at 11 a.m., at the Toquerville LDS 1st Ward Chapel, 79 N. Toquerville Blvd. A visitation will be held Sunday, July 24, from 6-8 p.m., and Monday, July 25, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to services at the chapel.
