Hazel married on November 2, 1907, Elkhart County, Indiana, to Jacob B. Yarian.
They were living in Locke Township, Elkhart County, Indiana, at the time of the 1930 census.

Wakarusa Tribune, Aug 28, 1957:
Mrs Hazel C Yarian, 69, of Nappanee died at 2:30 am Tuesday in Elkhart General Hospital, where she had been a patient three days following a cerebral hemorrhage suffered while visiting her sister, Mrs Ollie Eshleman of Elkhart.
Mrs Yarian, a native of Wakarusa, was born July 24, 1888, the daughter of Daniel and Ida Smeltzer.
She married Jacob B Yarian Nov. 2, 1907, in Wakarusa. Mr Yarian died in December, 1932.
Surviving are four sons, Carlyle of Bremen, Eugene of Nappanee, Franklin of Angola, and Robert of Wakarusa; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Evelyn) Templeton of Nappanee and Mrs Clara (Genevieve) Arrants, whose husband is in service in Germany; three brothers, Dewy, Don and Dale of Elkhart; one sister, Mrs Eshleman; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday at the EUB Church in Nappanee. The Rev. Paul Eppley will officiate. Burial will be in South Union cemetery.
