Obituary:
Belva Correll, 88, Oblong, died about 6:35am today at Crawford Memorial Hospital.
Born in Jasper County, March 16, 1901, she was a daughter of William and Susie Chapman McCord. She was a homemaker and member of Bible Chapel Church.
On Sept. 20, 1919, she married Ira Correll and he survives. Also surviving are: four sons, William, Clair, Jerry, and James; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Lois) Smith; two sisters-in-law, Edith McCord and Edna McCord; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were two sons, Ellis and Merle Correll; three brothers; a sister; and a grandchild.
The funeral is 10am Monday at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong with Rev. Zay Smith and Rev. Carl Hall officiating. Burial is in Oblong Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8pm Sunday at the funeral home.
