Fred & Mary, met at Hightstown Country Club. She was dating a Bob Hopkins from New Egypt at the time and dated both Fred and Bob for a time. Bob asked her to marry him, but she declined. Fred proposed to Mary three times before she finally said yes. When they married they lived Karl and Mary Ann Bauer on the farm on Colliers Mills Rd.
Fred and Mary got married on the hottest day of that year, June 26, 1949, at the Rumanian Reformed Church in Roebling. Ruth E. Bauer was the flower girl. It was a terrific wedding--a lot of dancing, mostly Hungarian and Rumanian folk dancing.
Fred and Mary had the following children:
Andrea Bauer
Georgie Bauer
Joseph Bauer
