Funeral services for Roy Hayward Evenrude, 61, who died Friday at his home at 504 Oak Street, were held Tuesday at 2 pm at the First Lutheran Church, Rev Alvon Nelson in charge.
Pallbearers were Hayward, Loren, Donald, & Harold Evenrude, Oliver Ruen, & John Faldet. Mrs. Fred Giere was organist & Mrs. Ruth Rowland soloist. Lois Iverson was floral attendant.
Mr. Evenrude was born Sep 7, 1897, in Glenwood Township, the son of Anton & Metta Evenrude. He married his wife, Sarah, n SEp 7, 1947, in Decorah. She survives.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church.
Other survirors include Arthur & Alex Evenrude, brothers, from Glenwood Township & Decorah respectively. 1 sister, 2 brothers & his parents preceded him in death.
Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery with the Winneshiek Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
